1 cup Cornmeal
1 tablespoon Baking Powder
1 ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
6 tablespoons Granulated Sugar
2 teaspoon Salt
1 ¾ cup Buttermilk
2 Eggs
½ cup Unsalted Butter, melted
¼ cup Vegetable Oil
2 tablespoons Honey

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F. Place a 10-inch cast iron skillet in the oven while it's preheating.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt until well combined.

Add Wet Ingredients

Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Pour in the buttermilk, add the eggs, melted butter, vegetable oil, and honey into the well. With a rubber spatula or wooden spoon, gently mix the wet and dry ingredients together, be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
