Baked Garlic Buffalo Wings

No frying needed for these crispy tender oven-baked chicken wings, coated in a homemade spicy garlic buffalo sauce making for the ultimate Garlic Buffalo Wings.

What are baked Garlic Buffalo Wings?

Don’t be fooled by the word baked, the worst is when you are trying a healthy “baked” version of something fried and it lacks crispiness and crunch (all the things the frying helps with). These wings are baked + broiled to deliver the perfect balance of a crispy tender wing, and of course, tossed in a spicy garlic buffalo sauce.

Tips for making the ultimate crispy & tender oven-baked wings

Things to do before baking:

– Use a paper towel to pat the wings dry to absorb any extra moisture that could prevent the wings from getting crispy.

– Fully coat in the cornstarch, this adds an extra layer of crispiness and crunch to the wings, so make sure they are nicely coated.

– Put the wings on a wire rack on top of a baking sheet to bake, this will prevent the wings from getting soggy on one side from the juice that the wings will release.

Things to do during baking:

– Flip the wings halfway through the baking process, this will ensure that all sides of the wings get an even bake.

– For the last few minutes of baking, change your oven settings to broil to give them a golden color and an extra crispy exterior. Remember to keep a close eye on them while they are broiling, they can go from 0 to 100 real quick!
