How to Store Brownies?

After the brownies have completely cooled, it is best to store them at room temperature in an air-tight container to prevent them from drying out.

Ingredients

½ cup Unsalted Butter
1 cup Unsweetended Chocolate Bar, chopped
1 ⅔ cup Granulated Sugar
¼ tsp Salt
2 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2cup All-Purpose Flour

Directions

Preheat Oven

Preheat the oven to 325ºF. Line an 8 x 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, with a little extra hanging on the side to make for easier removal. Set to the side.

Melt the Chocolate

Melt the chocolate and butter together using the double boiler method or microwaving at 20-second intervals mixing in between. Once melted set aside and allow to cool.

Mix Eggs & Sugar

Using a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment or a medium bowl with a rubber spatula, stir the eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla until smooth. Be sure not to overmix the batter as this can result in a cake-like texture. Next, add in the melted chocolate mixture and stir until just combined.

Add the Flour

Fold in the flour until fully incorporated, then fold in chocolate chips or chocolate chunks, if desired. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking sheet, evenly spreading out the batter.

Bake the Brownies

Bake in the oven at 325ºF for 40-45 minutes or until the brownies have a shiny crackly top and a fork comes out slightly clean. Allow at least 15 minutes until slightly cooled to handle and cut into squares.
